Psychics in the City
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
We are three journalism students at New York University's Studio 20 graduate program. We profiled four well-known psychics in New York City and experimented with digital and multimedia storytelling for our Specialized Reporting class.
Sarah Bourassa, 27 years old, graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in News-Editorial Journalism. She was amused by her reading from Frank Andrews, who told her to beware of a guy who will ask her out whose name starts with a "J." She also liked interviewing each of the psychics and learning the ins and outs of the profession.
Kyli Singh, 23 years old, graduated from University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Communication. She enjoyed hearing the stories from the psychic's and seeing Andy Warhol's painting of Frank Andrews. Her favorite part of the project was building the website and putting together the moving parts.
Kateryna Panova, 28 years old, is an award-winning journalist from Ukraine with over eight years of experience. She really liked Wesley, Ann Johnson's 13-year-old poodle and psychic assistant. She loved photographing the colorful, visually appealing psychics.
